Yoga has been practised in India for thousands of years. It comprises of a system of practices to transform the body and mind.
Yoga is popular with those who want to stretch and strengthen the body in a holistic way and to learn how to relax or quiet the mind. There are many approaches to yoga, from a series of gentle stretches to a vigorous workout for the whole body
A typical Yoga session will start with a short relaxation followed by a gentle mobilisation and warm up. The main part of the session will be focused on the approach to Yoga you find most appealing. The session will finish with a longer relaxation, leaving you feeling relaxed and energised.
Meditation is a way to work more directly on the mind. It can be incorporated into the Yoga session, or can be taught separately. Guidance is available for experienced meditators who wish to deepen their practice.
Sessions can also include Yoga Nidra, or Yogic sleep, which is a longer relaxation which can totally relax the body.

Yoga can be taught one to one, or to a small group of friends at a time and location to suit.
